Juicers
There are basically 3 types of juicer: Centrifugal, Masticating & Press. Due to their limited use citrus squeezers are not mentioned here.

Centrifugal
Most, if not all, of the cheaper domestic juicers fall under this category. Generally they're not upto daily use, destroy many of the enzymes in the juice, and leave a lot of juice in with the pulp.
For these reasons, centrifugal juicers are not generally recommended if high quality juice is wanted on a daily basis.

Masticating
Masticating juicers chew up the fruit or vegetables to extract the juice. They are usually more expensive than centrifugal juicers but last longer, produce a much higher quality of juice, and remove much more juice from the pulp.
These juicers are best for daily use where the quality of the juice is important.

Press
As the name suggests, these work by pressing the fruit or vegetables, much like for extra virgin olive oil. They typically are the slowest to use, but produce the best quality juice and highest yield.
These juicers are usually used as a second stage after the produce has been through a masticating juicer. They are usually only used by those who want the absolute best quality juice and highest nutrient yield, particularly in therapy treatments, including cancer.
